Biography
Jo Whitworth is an award-winning garden photographer. Her image of poppy seedheads won the first Garden Writers’ Guild ‘Photographers’ Choice’ Award in 2001, and in 2002 she won the Royal Horticultural Society’s ‘Professional Garden Photographer of the Year’ Award, jointly with her husband, Rob.
Before turning professional eight years ago, Jo lived abroad in Italy and Mexico, where she first developed her interest in photography.
Jo has a particular passion for plant photography, and her images appear in a wide variety of books, magazines, and calendars worldwide. She undertakes commissioned work, and together with Rob runs their own specialist plant and gardens picture library. She is also a contributor to the Garden Picture Library.
